Suitcase warning: UPS does not accept suitcases as the outer package
If you want to use UPS, do not present a bare suitcase for shipping. Place the suitcase inside a strong, suitable outer carton and protect it properly, or choose a different courier service that is suitable for the prepared luggage.
Even where another carrier accepts luggage, the item still needs to meet that carrier’s packaging rules. The safest option for courier networks is usually a strong rectangular shipping box with no exposed straps, handles or wheels.
What affects excess-baggage shipping cost?
We avoid made-up “from” prices for a multi-box move because the real cost changes materially with the shipment details.
Luggage sent by courier is still an international shipment
Sending personal possessions separately from your flight does not remove customs requirements. You still need an accurate declaration of what is inside and realistic values for the goods.
For multiple bags or boxes, use one combined contents declaration in our form. Do not simply write “luggage”. Describe the actual goods inside, such as used clothing, shoes, books or personal documents.
