1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Megway Parcels, operated by Megway Logistics Ltd, located at 1 Abington Square, Northampton, NN1 4AE.
By using our services—either online or in-store—you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Services Offered
We provide the following services:
2.1 Parcel Delivery Services (UK & International)
We offer parcel delivery and courier comparison services via third-party carriers, including:

Parcelforce

And others
We act as a courier broker and not as the carrier. All shipments are subject to the terms and conditions of the individual courier selected.

All delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate dimensions, weights, and contents.

Megway Parcels is not liable for delays, damages, or losses caused by couriers, customs, or third parties.
3. Insurance & Liability
3.1 Free Insurance Coverage (Included by Default)
Each shipment booked through Megway Parcels comes with limited liability insurance, as provided by the respective courier:

This coverage is included automatically and applies only in the event of accepted loss or damage claims by the courier.

Cover applies to eligible items only (no cover for prohibited or restricted items).
3.2 Optional Enhanced Insurance

Customers may request additional insurance (up to £2,500) at extra cost.

This must be requested at the time of booking and is subject to the item being eligible under the courier's terms.
3.3 Claims Process
To submit a claim:

Notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery or expected delivery date.

Provide proof of value, proof of postage, photos of packaging (for damage), and recipient confirmation.

Claims are subject to courier approval and investigation. Megway Parcels does not determine claim outcomes.
3.4 Exclusions
Insurance does not cover:

Prohibited or restricted items (as defined by the courier)
-
Poor packaging
-
Customs seizures
-
Delays without loss
-
Perishables, cash, jewellery, or high-risk electronics (unless declared and covered)
4. Packaging & Labelling Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to:

Use secure, strong packaging
-
Include appropriate internal protection (e.g., bubble wrap)
-
Affix correct, visible shipping labels
Failure to do so may void any liability or insurance claim.
5. Customs and International Shipping

All international shipments are subject to customs clearance and import regulations.
-
Duties and taxes are the recipient’s responsibility unless paid in advance.

Customers must declare items truthfully and comply with destination country laws.

Megway Parcels is not responsible for delays or confiscations by customs authorities.
6. Drop-Off Parcels (Prepaid Labels)
We accept drop-off parcels with prepaid labels for:

Conditions:

Parcels must be labelled before arriving.

Unlabelled or mislabelled parcels may be refused or delayed.

We scan all accepted parcels and provide receipts upon request.
7. Mailbox Rental
We offer secure mailbox rental with daily mail collection.
Terms:

Government-issued photo ID and proof of address required.

Mailboxes are for personal or business use only.
-
No fraudulent, illegal, or high-risk use is permitted.

Rental must be paid monthly or annually in advance.
-
Late payments may result in mail being withheld or mailbox being closed.
8. Printing & Document Services
We provide:

Passport photos

Scanning

Photocopying
Customers are responsible for ensuring files and documents are accurate before printing. We do not keep customer files unless explicitly requested.
9. IDP (International Driving Permit) Service
We assist customers with completing the IDP application process in line with UK post office and DVLA requirements.
Requirements:

UK driving licence

Passport-size photo
-
Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement)
Note: We do not issue the IDP ourselves and are not liable for delays or rejections by authorities.
10. Payments & Refunds

All services must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Once a parcel is shipped, no refunds will be given for delays or damage unless a valid claim is accepted by the courier.

Refunds for unused services (e.g., mailbox) may be offered at our discretion and subject to an administration fee.
11. Limitation of Liability

Megway Parcels acts solely as an agent/broker between the customer and the courier.

Our liability is limited to the amount refunded by the courier, if any.

We are not liable for loss, damage, missed deadlines, or business interruption resulting from:

Courier failure
-
Customs issues
-
Acts of God or force majeure
-
Inaccurate customer-provided information
-
12. Prohibited Items
All customers must comply with courier restrictions. Commonly prohibited items include:

Alcohol, tobacco, weapons
-
Cash, jewellery, precious metals
-
Live animals
-
Batteries and hazardous goods (unless pre-approved)
Sending prohibited items may result in refusal, loss of cover, or legal action.
13. Data Protection & Privacy
We collect customer data strictly to:

Process bookings

Issue receipts and tracking

Maintain ID verification (e.g., for mailbox or IDP)
Data is stored securely and never sold or shared beyond what is required to fulfil your services (e.g., courier or customs declarations).
